Kidapawan Doctors College Inc. conducts Asian Parliamentary Debate Bootcamp at the KDCI Social Hall on November 14, 2025, which aimed to prepare participants for the upcoming debate competition during the Panagsilab 2025.

 

The speaker session, entitled "𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙚𝙘𝙝, 𝙎𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙮: 𝘼𝙣 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘿𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥," featured Prof. Lloyd Anton Von M. Colita, MEAL, SMRIL as the main speaker. He shared his deep knowledge about debates, explaining what is the Asian Parliamentary Debate, the roles of speakers, and the importance of Points of Information (POIs). He emphasized that a true debate needs a clash of ideas to be meaningful. The speaker also discussed strategies and the proper flow of a debate to help students perform better. His clear and engaging presentation made the event both fun and full of learning.

 

After the sessions held by the speaker, all the teams participated in the Mock Debate Workshop which helped the participants sharpen their skills in this type of competition. Different teams from various departments attended the bootcamp benefiting from the valuable lessons shared. Everyone left feeling more confident and ready to join the debate competition in the intramurals.
