Students from the Kidapawan Doctors’ College Inc. (KDCI)—Medical Technology Department Section 1B spearheaded the recently concluded Phlebotomy Seminar and Workshop entitled The Knowledge Stream: Connecting Hands and Hearts in Phlebotomy on February 15, 2025, at the KDCI—Annex Campus.

The seminar-workshop envisions bolstering the knowledge of aspiring medical laboratory scientists through the art of phlebotomy, as it is an essential skill to harness and master. The program started with a seminar that entailed an introduction to phlebotomy and the quiddities that make a great phlebotomist. New updates to how venipuncture should be performed and how to troubleshoot mishaps in the laboratory were also discussed.

With the dedication of the 3rd-year BMLS students, the seminar-workshop successfully came to a close! After weeks of preparation, the program has finally concluded on a fulfilling note—leaving not only the students but also the speaker and engaged seniors enriched by the shared knowledge and strengthened bonds. Truly, every hand and heart connected through the stream of learning. It was a fun-filled event that not only empowered their skills and knowledge in venipuncture but also saw a glimpse of the life that’s ahead of them as they embarked on the journey to reach the three-letter words after their name— RMT.
